Music festival of Stavelot

The Micha concerts held every summer during the interwar period, already enabled music lovers to hear famous artists in discovery programmes of classical music. The music festival has taken over: since 1957 it has organised a programme of chamber music concerts traditionally in August in the former Refectory of the abbey, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The most prestigious artists and ensembles are invited each year and give a special lustre to this Festival which is part of the "Festival de Wallonie" where it has won much acclaim. Arthur Grumiaux, one of the great violinists of the time, was one of the faithful animators.

Festival Vacances Théâtre Stavelot - VTS

Every year in July for more than 50 years there have been theatre and cabaret shows at Stavelot Abbey, as well as an eclectic selection of actors and writers who have conquered a loyal and enthusiastic summer audience.

The cellars of the Abbey are a privileged meeting place between the public and the artists. This festival is a must-see event of the summer!
